You asked Wright question because many first time hoping parents worry about this always. It depends on the hospital and doctor to whom you are planning to visit for ultrasound as every doctor follows their rules. Bu according to me you can go anytime, but some doctors will not do one before 8 wks.</span></span><span class="apple-converted-space"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #333333; background: white;">&nbsp;</span></span><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #333333; background: white;">You may not hear a heart beat on ultrasound before 10wks.You can see gender technically at 16 wks when genitals are formed but doctors usually wait until 18-22 weeks when baby is bigger to be accurate.</span></span><span class="apple-converted-space"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #333333; background: white;">&nbsp;</span></span><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #333333; background: white;">Since she is only a few weeks, if you get an ultrasound now, you will probably only see 1 or 2 masses. So I will personally suggest you to wait for 10n to 12 weeks and if you want to confirm gender and want to see your baby legs, hand and body than you have to wait until 22 week.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #333333; background: white;"><br /></span></span></p>
