When do babies crawl?

I have given birth to a baby boy and I want to give him all the happiness which I can. The happiness which I get from his touch mesmerizes me and now I want to see him crawling soon so that I can call him from away and then he crawls towards me eagerly. I want to know that when does babies crawl. In which age he will start crawling? I really can’t wait for the fantasy to come true!

Congratulations for becoming a mother. I can understand your concern for your little baby. It is obvious that a mother would love to see the baby crawling towards her. I would like to tell you that crawling is the baby's first method of getting around on his own. Most babies learn to crawl between the ages of 6 and 10 months. It is also seen that some babies skip crawling and move directly to pulling up, standing or walking. What is actually important that baby gets mobile, no matter how your baby does it. Your baby will likely start crawling after he's able to sit without your support. I would like to mention that your baby will gradually learn to move confidently from a sitting position. As he gains proficiency, he'll learn to go from a crawling position back into a sitting position. You can look for him to be a really competent crawler by the time he's a year old. The best way to encourage crawling is to place toys and other desirable objects just beyond your baby's reach. I hope that you will get this wonderfull experience soon. Take Care.
