Baby massage as a career!

Hello, In the future sometime soon, I am planning on becoming a masseuse. I love kids specially baby soft skin. I was planning on starting with a couple kids from the neighborhood. My friends have babies too. I needed your help in knowing what the products I need for a baby massage are? Which is the best baby oil I can use? I want to know the steps in massaging a baby, so as to not hurt the child. Where can I get the tips, and read and learn about it. Apart from oils what should I use? How much do you think I should charge for massaging a small kid or baby? Help, I want to start a career.

I think you have chosen a good job, because baby massage is becoming increasingly popular. It’s a crucial aspect of newborn care. There are lots of varieties of baby massage oils available in market. It is good to prefer branded baby oils. But make sure to avoid using oils with strong scents and prefer natural edible oils only.  Olive oil is considered to be the finest oil for massaging your baby. You can also choose almond oil or mustard oil. Apart from baby oil, you also have to choose the baby lotions for massaging a baby. I’ll suggest you to go for natural baby lotions as baby’s skin are very delicate and sensitive. Let’s start now, first pour a bit of oil into your hands and rub them together; massage the feet and legs first. Slowly move your hands up the lower legs to the thighs and then across to the hips. With both your hands, massage the chest using gentle downward strokes and then massage the stomach in a circular motion. Massage the face by stroking outwardly from the nose to the ears, then across to the forehead. After completing the massage wrap the baby in a towel.
