Book on your diet during pregnancy

Why is fish harmful, when eaten during pregnancy? What should my sisters diet for when she gets pregnant? What are the items she should not be eating when she is carrying a baby? I have to make a list, where can I find it. I also want to know how to prevent heartburn, constipation and indigestion during pregnancy. Which is the best website to provide all this info? Could you also tell me some good recipes which my sister would enjoy during her pregnancy? Is there a recipe book for just pregnant woman, if so what is the name of the book? Who is the author who knows best about the diet during pregnancy?

The methyl mercury accumulates in fish with long life spans, hence the specific warnings about certain fish. There is also a danger with PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls). This was once used in electrical equipment but is now banned. However, it can still be found in many lakes and streams, there fresh caught fish not a part of a commercial production is more at risk. So that’s why it is better to avoid eating fish in pregnancy. Sample diet for your pregnant sister is: grains: 6 to 8 ounces a day- For at least half of your daily grains, choose whole grain varieties like whole wheat bread or brown rice.
