Books for babies and toddlers!

I live in Manchester; I just had my second son. My first son is 4 years old. He loves reading. I want to know the best all time favorite books for babies and toddlers. Which are the best sellers, or the best stories, which every kid loves to read? He is fond of picture books, if you suggest some names for those kinds it would do. Are there pop-up books for boys, would he like those? What do you think? Please name some good book stores over here in Manu.

Toddlers enjoy books about animals, the alphabet, and children their age. Rhyming books are also popular with children of this age. Maintain your toddler's interest by choosing books with small amounts of text on the page and books about topics that you know are of interest. Toddler wants to be independent and successful. Encourage this by offering three or four books to choose from. ‘The night kitchen’ and ‘where the wild things are’ by Maurice Sendak are great stories that truly speak to kids, and of course superb illustrations. They're both must-haves. ‘Duck! Rabbit!’ by Amy Krouse Rosenthal is also a clever illustration lead the reader to wonder, is it a duck or a rabbit?  And off course pop-up books are must to have. I love pop-up books – the intricate things that – well, pop up – are often mind-boggling.  Star Wars, a pop-up guide to the galaxy is sure to impress all children. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is also a good pop-up book. Lots of surprises are unfurled with every page turn. Some more books are Wee little bunny, The story of Ferdinand, More More More ‘Said the baby’ or Wombat walkabout.  The best way to learn which book your child enjoys is to read children's books — lots of them.
