‘Unwed mothers’, ‘Teenaged parents’, ‘live-in relationships’ are some of the trends that can be seen attached to the society of the day in a very natural manner. Being a mother before marriage is no more a taboo now.
Statistics show that if the trend continues like this half of the babies born in Britain will be born to unmarried mothers by 2012. But do you know that this trend is not new… Guardian has made a list of people who were ‘born out of the wedlock’. Most of them are well known personalities including Alexandre Dumas, Pope Clement VII, Leonardo da Vinci and many more.
So does that mean that seeds of a trend that is posing as big time challenge before the countries at the moment, were sown in the past…and it is the repercussions of the same that has led to the current situation.
