What are the chances of getting pregnant during my periods?

Me and my boyfriend have sex when he starts getting really horny and then we both strip off our clothes and start with slow and gentle lovemaking. We have even made some fun videos while our sexual intercourse. We both thoroughly enjoy the experience ,as if I have had a glimpse of heaven. But the only fear that rests within me is the fear of getting pregnant while doing anal sex. What are the chances of getting pregnant during the time of my periods?

Yes, you get pregnant during your periods but the chances are very less as sperms cannot mix with blood. For you to get pregnant the sperm should come in contact with an egg which is just impossible during periods. People who have short menstrual cycle tend to get pregnant during their periods, as the sperms have the tendency to stay alive for three days and in rare cases if a sperm gets hidden in the Fallopian tube during the periods and you start ovulating after that, you are likely to get pregnant. If you have a short menstrual cycle of 22 days or less, you ovulate early. Pregnancy totally depends on your ovulating period because the sperm has to come in contact with an egg for you to become pregnant. After your periods and 2 to 3 days prior to your ovulation period there is release of a fertility cervical mucus which looks like an egg white yolk, if the sperm inside you gets sustained till that time you are likely to get pregnant.
