How to cure rashes on babies?

What can you tell me about rashes on babies? I am doubtful if it is the diaper which is causing the rash, but my baby is 6 weeks old and she has a rash on her buttocks and back. I have been applying powder on her ever since she has been born. What do you think the cause of the rash is? They look like prickly heat and it is red. She starts crying if she is sitting on her bum so I guess it is also hurting her or itching. What should I do please tell me quickly?

Firstof all I would like to tell you that a six weeks old child can’t sit on the bumas the back bone is not that strong. So, your question becomes irrelevant inthat regard. But anyways, if you have come up to the forum to get the answer, Iwill try to answer it to you with the best of my abilities.

Therash which your baby girl is getting is because of the diaper which she wears.Since you have seen rashes on her butt, don’t make her wear the diaper for the comingdays. This will allow her back to get the atmospheric air and treat her rashessoon.

Try toapply some body lotion on the affected area to help reduce the itching.

Geta papaw ointment and apply it on your baby’s bum.

I am sure your baby will be okay in thecoming days and, I suggest you to buy a parenting book where you can get allyour queries answered.
