What does the dark brown spotting signify after I missed birth control pills?

I am taking birth control pills. I missed my pill yesterday, I got home and immediately took the missed pill at about 11am, and then took the second one at the normal time which was 8 pm. This morning I suffered from cramps and I went to the bathroom and there was dark brown spotting. I have been on the pill for almost two weeks. Is this normal?

Alright, well if you have missed a pill during an important time of the month then you need to be taking them. The first two weeks are very much crucial, because that is when you ovulate. If you are sexually active and had sex within four days of your missed pill then you will have a one in eight chances of getting pregnant. So it is unlikely but always possible. Also, it is very common for you to be spotting during the first couple months of your being on a pill which I assume is what's happening. The only other thing which could be possible is that when you have stopped taking your active pills then it will tell your body that it's time for your period. This usually won't happen for about two days of not taking a pill. I am sure these things will help you greatly!
