What will be the development in 5th week of pregnancy?

I am curious to know about the development of my pregnancy by week 5. I have entered the week 3 of my pregnancy and have taken various medication required at the time. I am very excited with the new found joy in my life. I want to know whether the mood swings will continue in this week also and also my frequently going to urine. It would be very helpful if you can also guide me with the tests to be done on that week. Thank you.

Congrats on your new found joy!

The much awaited pregnancy symptomsstart this week. If you are one of the lucky few, you might not experiencenausea, fatigue, sore breasts and urge of frequently urinating. Though theseare normal symptoms they would be annoying at times. But the best part is theydo not last forever and this is just a phase. You might even get headaches inyour 1st trimester.

Be watchful of any symptoms that youneed to worry about. If you notice any danger signs like unbearable pain in theuterus or excess bleeding do not hesitate to visit your doctor immediately.

Plan a healthy diet and reduce theintake of junk food. Avoid consumption of alcohol and tobacco. Be mindful that everythingyou consume becomes a direct source of nutrients for your baby that isimportant for her development. Have small and regular meals supplemented with goodamount of drinks to prevent chances of indigestion. This also helps survivenausea and fatigue attacks.

Ithelps to have plenty of vitamin C foods like oranges, strawberries, mangoes etc as yourembryo's cell growth is fast.

You may have anemia leavingyou feeling tired and weak. Eat foods that boost your iron level in your body.

Only if you're over 35 undergo the nuchalfold scan and CVS test bothcheck for abnormalities after consulting your doctor.
