What Not To Eat While Breastfeeding?

Which food item is recommended to be not eaten while breast feeding? Can something that a mother eats go to the baby through breast feeding? I would be giving birth to beautiful baby girl, could you tell me what not to eat while breastfeeding the baby. Is there anything in particular that could harm the child? In case I do not want to breast feed what are the other options? Where can I get a breast pump from? Is breast milk healthy enough for the baby and how many months should I breast feed for?

As you can probably guess, the foods that you should avoid while breastfeeding will vary from mother to mother. This is one reason why you don’t see a lot of advice on this. However, there are some foods that you should avoid in any situation for the health of you and your baby. There are also some things that can cause problems to your baby, and you should avoid them as well just to be on the safe side. Here I am giving a list that what not to eat during breast feeding:
    1. Downing more coffee than usual just to stay awake is not good in breastfeeding. As It may be your baby who ends up losing sleep
    2. Peanut allergy used to be considered a lifelong allergy though recent studies show that up to 20% of children diagnosed with peanut allergy outgrow it.
    3. Avoid freshwater fish from waters that are known to be contaminated. Also while consuming meat, cut off the fatty portions, before cooking them
    4. It is recommended not to have vegetables like cabbage, onion, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower and cucumber, while feeding the baby.
    5. Cow’s milk is considered as the most common cause of food allergies and food tolerances. It can cause allergies like eczema or dry, rough, red patches on your baby’s skin. The milk should be taken only after consulting the doctor or dietician.
The recommendation for breastfeed is six months and then as long as both mother and child feels like it. The global average is somewhere between two and three years. Choosing the best breast pump is not difficult if you will buy it from any retailers with expert knowledge and support in all aspects of breast pumping. There are many different types of breast pumps to choose from that you are sure to find one that can meet your specific needs. You can order them online and you can buy them from any baby product shop.
