Effectivness of color blind test for kids

Colorblindness is a problem with two close members in my family, including me. Does that mean my child would have it too? Is it hereditary, and if yes then when should my child be tested for it. Where and how can I get color blind test for kids? My child is not born yet, but I want to be prepared for everything. Please give me information on how to go about this test. Are these tests effective, can it be cured at an early stage if detected soon enough?

Sometimes we say that a colorblind person is one who is not distinguish the colors like white and black. But this is not true basically they are not able to differentiate the red and green color. Retina is made up of rods and cons. Through rods we can see in night. The cons are used to see at day light. The problem in cones can cause the problem of color blindness. There are some tests to check the color blindness. The study shows that more men suffer from this problem in compare to women. Ishihara plates color blindness test, Dynamic Color Vision Test, Multiple Choice Color Vision Test are some tests for color blindness. All these tests are truly reliable. Because you and your family members already suffering from color blindness so there are many chances that your baby also suffers from this disease. You have to go hospital and ask your doctor to do color blindness test.
