Yes, the so-called $100 laptop as it was publicized initially, no more bears the same price tag. The prices of this children's machine have shot eve before it could hit the markets. T latest price being $140, wherein the extra $40 can be said to be the cost of additional features that come in the new CM1.
The features include: 400MHz AMD Geode Processor, 128MB of RAM, 512MB of flash memory, SD card slot, microphone and speaker jacks, digital camera and 1200x900 resolution 8-inch LCD screen.
