Your guide to be a perfect parent

Father honored for raising seven kids without wife

If Margarett was worthy of appreciation for her acting as a single mother to four kids, then Briton Graham Burney too deserves an applause. A former gardener raised his six sons and one daughter without any help from a female partner after his wife left the world suddenly. The man has been honored with a parenting award as a recognition to all that he did to give his kids the best that he could.

He left his job, to be with his kids 24X7 and did everything to keep up his kids. It was his kids' principal who nominated him for the Outstanding Parenting Award and he describes him as a "model parent".

"His children are always polite, on time and very well-presented, and Graham is very supportive to the school - he definitely deserves recognition for the wonderful job he is doing." Opines Shelagh Keegan, of Lily Lane Junior School in Moston, Manchester.

Graham's case is sure to act as a wake-up call for all those fathers who have been sleeping away from their responsibilities towards their kids and need a jolt to wake-up and take charge.

We wish Graham all the very best...for this is just the beginning to an ordeal and we're sure he'll definitely keep up his act of being the best dad!
