Mediterranean diet that includes large amounts of fruits, vegetables specially the green leafy ones that are rich in folic acid is found to be good for the health of unborn babies in the womb.
In a global survey, France recorded the lowest rate of birth defects with 39.7 incidents per 1,000 live births. Spain and Italy also proved significantly better at keeping disorders such as heart problems and spina bifida at bay, the Independent reported.

It's good if you are taking good amount of fruits and vegetables...but if you are not then do include them in your diet or you will be loosing upon your baby's health.
