How to Calm a Crying Baby
I just came across an article titled 'Babies do not come with volume control'... I wished they had. For a new parent a crying baby elicit panic instead of pity. They do not know how to calm that shrieking creature. They find the baby too small for that high pitched cry.
Try out something like putting him in the crib and giving a ride. Or you can also swing him on a rocking chair. Crying louder than the baby works for some babies...as this makes them feel frightened.)jus' kidding...do not try this one, or you might have a louder cry)
Take him in front of the mirror, he might forget crying. As much as possible, try to divert his attention to something that interests him. Sing a lullaby or show him the fan. I do almost everything when I want to soothe that weeping little angel.
