Intelligent design: Pre-chewed pencils to kill pencil chewing habits

Gayatri Amar . Dec 15 2008

Tired of your little student’s bad habit of chewing pencils? Seems like nothing will work out and that week in concentration chap will keep chewing the paint, colour and all the dirty stuff from the pencil back? Well, the solution can be seen in this unique pencil called the ‘Pre-Chewed pencil’, which is specially designed for this very noble cause.

Seems it is definitely a better thought than the drumstick pencils. Designed by British company Concentrate, these pencils are designed to look “already-been-chewed”. The aim is that with an already chewed pencil in hand the child will be somehow discouraged to put it in mouth and chew it again as someone else has already chewed them.

And the end result of this entire practice is that rather than coming back to the pencil again to chew, the child will be forced to concentrate on his work and will keep away from infection as deadly as cancer.
