Kissing babies can cause peanut allergy

The next time you head to kiss your baby, make sure it is not immediately after having food containing peanuts or you can expose your baby to 'Nut Allergy.' And the allergy becomes all the more prominent in case of babies who already have eczema.

Eczema infected skin acts as a vent for allergens to enter the infant's body.

Food products containing Peanut include:

Fruit yoghurts

Chilli con carne

Margarine

Packet soup

Salad dressings

Cakes

Biscuits and ice cream

The research doesn't act a prohibition to kissing; instead it advocates the need of taking necessary precautions like avoiding high-saliva-volume kisses immediately after having peanut butter and handling the baby with eczema with peanut-contaminated hands.
