Margarett R. Best should be an inspiration for thousands of Scottish women who are ready to give up their career in case they find it tough to juggle between their home and profession.

Margeret is being honored with the Matilda Van Cooten Award for Excellence in Single Parenting at the African Canadian Achievement Awards. The lady has set an example before all the mothers by balancing her life in the best possible manner. Being a single mother of four children, she managed to study at the law school to come out as a successful lawyer apart from being an active community activist.
Life had always been a juggling act for Best as she lost her mother at the tender age of 11 and when her father could not support her and three of her siblings, she started to work at the age of 14. Since, then there was no looking back, Best continued to struggle with life and completed her studies to support her own family.
`I think being a parent is the most difficult job' opines Margarett, but you managed it pretty well lady! So hats off to you!!
