Unsafe Kids' Jewelry Pulled Back
Earlier it was toys, then baby food from Nestle and now it's Kid's jewelry, that's being pulled from the market for safety reasons. Stravina Operating Co. of Chatsworth, Calif, is the company that has recalled about 6 million children's metal necklaces and zipper pulls that pose a serious risk of lead poisoning to the kids. Studies have found that even small amount of lead can lead to neurological damage, or behavior and learning problems.
The necklaces are silver colored and have individual names painted in various colors and same is with the zipper pulls. What's safe if a something normal like a piece of jewelry can on to danger elements in kids' lives? If your kid also has one of the products then make sure you take it away from him/her as lead is toxic if ingested and can lead to serious health problems if not taken seriously.
