What would you have done I you were placed in a situation like the Snaith's whose 10-month-old baby was not allowed to take a flight because he had a spot on his forehead that appeared to the authorities as a chickenpox?

Despite the fact that a local doctor followed by a hospital pediatrician confirmed that it was merely an insect bite, baby Layton was not allowed on the plane, and had to stay back with his grand parents, while his mother had to attend an urgent interview.

The family had to bear all kinds of inconveniences due to the irresponsible behavior of the authorities, including spending an extra night at Tenerife, despite their tight schedule, apart from great deal of humiliation...all thanks to the stubborn airport authorities, who insisted upon getting a certificate from the pediatrician and while they were getting that, the flight didn't even bothered to wait for them.

The family is expecting an apology from the airport authorities...but do you think, a behavior like this is justified? Is it OK to harass the customers in the name of duty? What would have been your reaction in this situation?
