An occasional green poop is normal. It depends on the diet of the baby. Some medications like iron drop can also a reason behind green poop. The diet other than breast milk can cause green colored poop. Lots of green vegetables are also the reason behind green poop. It is very common among the babies but sometimes it is caused by virus. The illness is also a reason behind green poop. For this reason, many experts recommend trying to correct the problem early. It can also be a sign of too much foremilk and no hind milk. He can show the sign like fussiness, excessive weight gain, and discomfort while breast feeding and early weaning. It can also due to the allergy or negative reaction of breast milk. If you feel any type of allergy in your baby consult with doctor in immediate basis. So green poop is not a big issue, just contact with your doctor for the treatment of your child.
