When can i hear the baby heartbeat?

When can I hear the baby heartbeat? I want to know about the child before I even have one, so could you tell me which trimester or which week I could see the baby and hear the heartbeat. Can you feel the heartbeat too? I was just wondering. How much should the baby heartbeat be at what rate? Is there way and a reason for it being unstable? Can you derive anything by listening to the heartbeat? Can there be any dysfunction in the heartbeat.

You can hear your baby’s first heart beat in first trimester of pregnancy or at the beginning of 2nd trimester or in around 7 to 10 weeks. You can also hear it in from 15 to 16 week because of some delay. You can hear the heart beat by Doppler stethoscope. Some time it delays due to some miscalculated anatomy of mother. It depends on the size of the baby and the growth of baby. There are some dysfunctions in the baby when you are not able to hear heart beat. Impending miscarriage can be a reason in the disability of hearing heart beat. Through the rate of heart beat doctor can also predict the gender of the baby. Various diseases can also be detected through the rate of heart beat. You can also see the heart beat in ultrasound. The average heart beat of a baby should be 100 beats per minute however it can be ranges between 120 to 160 beats per minute.
