There is a generic term for a type of food, which has been coined as ‘kids’ food.’ Without doubt, it contains of everything, which kids love to eat. Chips, fizzy drinks, pop corns, sugar coated candies, snacks and of course sticky food like macaroni and cheese.
Do not leave adults way behind. Many adults do gorge on the food similar to what kids like to eat and add some more like cakes, marshmallows, ice cream, cotton candy and well, you get my flow.
Leaving physical well-being behind, these fun foods do know how to lessen the value of a child’s being in other ways. For example, take the teeth of children for instance. Just explaining to them how bad sweets and chips are for their teeth will not help; you will have to make a game out of it.
Follow the tips
Brushing twice a day and flossing once a day is of course the usual norm. Connect that with a fun activity and watch how your kids lap it up.
For example, teach them that unless they brush regularly, they will not be able to blow soap bubble, no matter how much they try.
Of course, some of their eating habits will be have to be altered as well. For starters, recurrent snacking will have to go. If not, they will have to be taught to eat things such as fruits and substitute with snacks made of whole grain.
Make a fun activity of eating fruits as well. Like, you can pretend to like smoothies and since your kids will love to be called a grown up, make sure that you let them have some.
The Upside and Downside of Liquids
It is that your kids should be taught the virtues of drinking ample water right from their childhood. Water is the one magical substance, which has the power to clear the bits of food, stuck in your kids’ mouth and from time to time flushes germs away.
Milk is great for your kids. However, the lactic acids present are not healthy for your kids’ mouths. Make sure that they clean their teeth properly.
Kids cultivate many habits right from their birth. One of the worst habits cultivated by them is the sucking of thumbs. The effects are detrimental as the muscles might become distorted, the teeth uneven and might cave in as well.
Lastly, do not forget those fun visits to the dentist’s office on a regular basis.
