What are the methods to cope with a fidgety child?

What are the ways to handle a child who has a habit of just being fidgety? I can’t take my child out in public as he is really a fidgety child and hard to handle. I really can’t understand why it is in his nature. What should I do about this kind of behavior? Have any of you got a child like this, if so how do you deal with it. He won’t sit in his baby seat, he is only 2 years old and he needs to be in it. Should I take him to a psychiatrist? Is it just a phase or will he be like this if something is not done about it?

Hi there. I would say that the fiddling nature of your child will get minimized if you keep him preoccupied in something or the other. Give them some toys, and make them watch television. The bottom line is just keep them engrossed in something or the other.

If you would do that then it will help you and your child. The more he is busy the better it is for his mind which will not resort to fiddling. Fiddling is something which is a sign of restlessness. I hope the information which has been provided in this section is really helpful.

Good luck.
