Moms groups in Oakland

Can someone tell me about the moms groups in Oakland? What is the idea behind having a moms group is it necessary. Does it help first time moms? What to the mothers meet up there and talk about. Is it similar to an AA where you meet up talk about things that are bothering you related to your kids? How many moms clubs have been formed, and how many have worked out thoroughly. Which is the most recognizable one formed and where is it located? Do they also discuss general topics, and happy stuff? Is it only moms or can kids go too? Is it pregnant moms or a mother too?
