Can someone share about nipple cream?

I am 34 weeks pregnant women and I am trying to learn all those things which are necessary to know for a pregnant women. Today I want to ask you about nipple cream? What is the use of nipple cream and why we use it? Is it always necessary to remove it from breast while breast feeling a baby. I wish you to give a extensive detail about the same as I don’t want to get pissed by using some random thing which in any way can harm my baby. One more question; Should I apply nipple cream before my baby is born?
