Why do people still prefer the pull out method?

I’m slightly confused that people still prefer the pull out method. Why don't they just buy condoms or use birth control? Is it just the heat of the moment or what? Or are they too embarrassed or what? I am truly curious as to why people think it works, I mean it is 2011, we should know better by now. What do you feel about this?

If one does not want to get pregnant it is wise to use protection. Even when in the heat of the moment it is still advisable to use protection in order to avoid pregnancy. There may be people who are embarrassed to ask for a condom in a store but it is not more embarrassing than carrying an unwanted child before time. If one does not want to use condoms there are contraceptive pills which can be used for the same purpose. It is an oral pill which is supposed to be taken by the women before sex. The pull out method is not at all reliable.

Ovulation is a short period of opportunity every month when there is expulsion of an ovum from the ovary. The time period of ovulation is from 12 to 24 hours and this is the best time for fertilization. This period may vary from the 11th day of the menstrual cycle to 20th day.

There are chances of a girl to get pregnant even if you had six days before ovulation. This is because the sperm can stay alive for about 5 to 6 days. This is not the time when you can afford to take chances, so why not be at the safe side. Remember there is need of one single sperm to form a baby.
