How can one have a pencil test?

I don’t know if to know the gender of the baby is legal in USA so I am little skeptic about to take an ultrasound to know the gender of my baby. But my friend was saying that you can have pencil test to determine the gender of the baby. Please tell a detailed procedure to determine a successful pregnancy test and also mention precautions to be used with it?

This is quite interesting way to know the sex of your baby. I would like to share with you a fact that before ultrasounds came there was not even a single way to determine the sex of a baby. The pencil test was originated in Hungary. This method is quite popular and reliable to predict the sex of the unborn child. You will need and unsharpened pencil, a sewing needle and sewing thread to conduct this test. Initially, sharpen the number two lead pencil. You need to make sure that it is sharp, to observe any movement. Next, thread a piece of sewing thread though the needle. Make sure that it is long enough to dangle the pencil over your wrist. Now, stick the tip of the needle into the top of the pencil eraser. Keep in mind that the sharpened point of the pencil should be facing downward. Now, place your hand on a hard, sturdy surface with your palm up. Be calm and pick up the pencil by the string, and dangle it in such a way that the tip of the pencil is touching your wrist. Be smart in observing the pencil, as soon as it begins to move. If the pencil moves up and down the length of your arm, this shows that you will have a boy. On the other hand, if the pencil moves side to side, you will have a girl. Take care.
