Pregnancy heartburn, the cause?

What are the causes of pregnancy heartburn and what are the symptoms. My sister is facing heartburns during her pregnancy and she does not even eat anything which should be causing it. She has a very strict pregnancy diet which she follows. As it is she does not like spicy food, so what could be causing the heartburn? The doctors can’t seem to find a problem; they seem to think everything is normal. Could you help please? She knows what she should not be eating during pregnancy foods; if anything she eats very bland stuff. Is it common to have pregnancy heartburn, how can it be reduced?

It's caused by some of the hormonal and physical changes in your body. It is normal to occur in pregnancy. If your sister is following all food diet that is good for pregnancy than still she can suffer from heartburn as it is a symptom of pregnancy. This hormone also relaxes the valve that separates the esophagus from the stomach, allowing gastric acids to seep back up, which causes that unpleasant burning sensation</span>.
