Can you get pregnant if he pulls out before ejaculating?

I have been feeling nausea and am feeling gloomy ever since the last time I had sexual intercourse which is about a week from now. I feel as if I am pregnant. I was reading the symptoms of pregnancy, a couple of them match what I am feeling now. The catch is that my husband ejaculated after he pulled away from me. Tell me, can you get pregnant if he pulls out before ejaculating? I have not had a pregnancy test taken but now I am having second thoughts.

Yes you can be pregnant even if he had pulled out. Actually the catch here is that semen gets coming out throughout the intercourse. Its just a myth that it comes only while ejaculating. Each drop of semen has millions of sperms and it takes only one to get a woman pregnant. Even if a man doesn't insert all the way, a woman can still become pregnant. This is because 'pre-come' (the lubricating fluid) can contain sperm. If this fluid gets in or around a woman's vagina, it can find its way inside, and can easily make a woman pregnant. Plus it is also true that an average sperm has a life of about 72 hours. It is enough time for a sperm to enter and fertilize egg.

This is why, it is always recommended that you should prefer some good contraceptive pills or other such methods to avoid pregnancy. But after reading all this don't feel bad. The above mentioned may not be always true. Just go to some health clinic and have your check up. You might be having all such feelings due to some other reason. It is only after a proper check up that you can come to some conclusion.
