Please do not worry at all. For a caring husband like you, it is but natural to feel scared and skeptical, especially when your wife is 4 weeks into her pregnancy. However, barring certain exercises and yoga postures, it is perfectly alright to indulge in such activity during pregnancy.

On the contrary, you must encourage and support her decision to continue doing yoga. It is very good for the mother's well being. She will feel mentally relaxed and physically fit, which is a very important aspect in pregnancy. A mother has to pass through lot many challenging situations during pregnancy, which may take a toll on her emotional as well as physical capacity. Yoga builds her mental and physical strength to endure the pain and problems associated with pregnancy.

Allow your wife to practice yoga but see to it that she avoids certain asanas, which are forbidden in pregnancy. These are asanas which involve too much stretching of abdominal muscles and in which she is likely to lose her balance and fall. To be precise ask her not to attempt asanas that include standing on head or hands, balancing on one leg, bending backward or forward.

Yoga during pregnancy is risk-free if done under expert supervision. If you wish you may call an expert to supervise the yoga session, unless your wife is an expert herself.
