Childhood obesity is emerging like an epidemic. All over the world, kids are gaining weight thanks to luxurious lifestyle and a diet of junk foods.As per Reuters, Scottish children are among the most overweight in the world.
Official statistics revealed a third of Scots children were classed overweight before they hit their teens, that one in five was obese and that more than one in 10 was rated as severely obese.
Scotland has come in line with United States…and this trend is going to be a real worrying one. Childhood obesity can lead to serious problems in later life, such as heart disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis, back pain, low self-esteem and depression.
It’s advised that you give that 12 years old of yours more of greens and fibers rather than the burgers and cokes. And make sure he is physically active and not a couch potato.
