Do you think having too much sex without taking any precaution can be a symptom of uti? I and my husband are very passionate. I have heard about my friend who got this disease. I want to know is this true? What I can do to avoid this disease. What are the other symptoms that can cause urinary tract infection? From where can I get full knowledge about it? can I ask my doctor about this?

Hi....Too much of sex can never lead to UTI or any other disease unless any one of the partner is having an infection of any sort. UTI or urinary tract infection happens because of the poor hygiene of the pubic area. It mostly happens when the person comes in contact with sex for the first time. Whenever you get this infection u get a burning sensation along with itching and frequent desire to pass urine. Whenever you get these symptoms it is recommended to consult a gynecologist, who then prescribes some medicine for both the partners. It is advised not have intercourse during this medication period as the condition is likely to get worse. Whenever you have any doubt about this you can get in touch with your doctor who will explain you everything and also guide you in how to avoid that and how to have a safe sex....
