Sleep Training Infants!

I need to know about sleep training infants. My nephew has very odd sleeping hours. He sleeps through the day, and is awake at night. Sometimes he would sleep through part of the night and then get up and not sleep at all. I don’t like to be sleeping if he is not. Baby sitting him seems to be a problem. I need help, as to what I can do in order to get him to sleep proper ours. How many hours of sleep does he require? He is 11 months old. How do I go about training him to sleep? Would this pattern be constant when he grows up? I don’t want him to be affected by it. should I call in a specialist?

Only make the environment that allows him to sleep. A healthy attitude of sleeping can help your child to sleep in night. Try to find out the actual problem why he doesn&rsquo;t want to sleep at night while in day time he likes to sleep. It might be possible that he is facing some insecurity during night time or he always wake up at the night due to hunger.</span><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">Ferber book "Solve Your Childs Sleep Problems" can also help you to find out some easy steps to sort out the problem. You are a mother and the only person who help him. He is only 11 months old and can&rsquo;t tell you what the problem is so only you can understand his problem. It may be a sleep association. Don&rsquo;t use the sleep trainers to solve the problem, because they do nothing. Check the room temperature. Sleeping association can also be due to high room temperature so swaddle your baby to get rid of from the problem and try to normalize the room temperature. A pediatrician can also solve your problem.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: 12.25pt;"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: black;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="margin-top: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-left: 3.4pt; line-height: 12.9pt;"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: #444444;">.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: 12.25pt;"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: black;">&nbsp;</span></p>
