First of all do not panic. Your baby is just fine. If you start panicking, it would be more difficult for you or for that matter anyone to get to the core of the problem the baby is facing.Baby crying can happen due to various reasons, the need is to be patient and get to the bottom of the problem. The baby might also be crying just because it wants to be held in your arms and feel close to you. To check if that is the case, take of your shirt and the baby's shirt too. Hold the baby close to your chest. If you have a rocking chair at home, prefer sitting on that. The skin to skin contact and the swaying movement might make your baby feel better and stop crying altogether. Sometimes rocking and swaying can make the baby forget crying, so you can try that often when the baby cries. Also, you can try taking a bath with the baby or wrapping a sling and holding the baby close for most of the time. Breastfeeding more number of times can be of help too. There would be days like this when all that the baby needs is to be close to you. At this time, do not hesitate to hold your baby close to you probably for most of the day. It will be of help both to you and your baby. In case, the baby has still not stopped crying, it is important to take the baby for a checkup to check if the baby is suffering from colic or any other disease.
