Strep Throat And Pregnancy

Strep throat pregnancy is due to what reasons, and during which stage of pregnancy does it take place. Is it something to take into consideration, when it occurs? Does it happen during or before pregnancy? A friend’s wife had it; my aunt claimed she had got it too. They say it is not very harmful, just slight precautions are meant to be taken. Could you please give me a second opinion, as my sister is a couple of days pregnant? She was scared of getting pregnant anyway. She did not think she could carry a child. I want to her understand everything before getting worried. Please explain it to me? I think she needs to know everything about strep throat and pregnancy, right?

She will give you a strep test to determine if it is in fact a strep infection. If the doctor determines that you have strep throat, you should get treatment, preferably antibiotics, as soon as possible. The disease can be prevented by using different utensils than regular at home and not being vulnerable to the virus in the air. The symptoms of strep throat in pregnancy are inflammation in the neck area, difficulty in breathing and swallowing, weakness, excessive sweating and nausea. During pregnancy there are lots of precaution that you can do in your home for clearing your throat like regular gargles of water that help to kill the bacteria and give relief. Ginger helps a lot too. if you will take all precautions and medicines than this is nothing to worry about.</p>
