Children of any age group can be affected by diabetes. Early diagnose of diabetes in children and treatment is very essential. Wrong eating habits and changing life style are the main causes of diabetes in children. There are 2 causes of diabetes in children. One is juvenile diabetes which is due to lack of insulin in body. This is very common in children under the age of 15 years but now some adults are also affected by this type of diabetes. The main cause of this diabetes might be hereditary. If a close relative of the child is suffering from diabetes then there are chances of juvenile diabetes. Sometimes it is due to the environmental changes. Another type of diabetes in children is due to changes in their life style or lack of activities. The symptoms of diabetes in children are almost same as in the adults. Sudden increase or decrease in weight, being extra thirsty, frequent urination, increased appetite are some symptoms of diabetes in children. It cannot be cured completely but can be prevented.
