How to make a tie fleece blanket?

I want to make a blanket for my friend before he goes to college, and it seems like a tie blanket is the easiest thing to do. But does the tie blanket work with other types of fabric? And to make the blanket extra warm, can I put something in between the two layers of fabric? Thank you.

One thing I want to make you clear that tie fleece blanket is a baby gift which is specially made for new born baby. Here I am going to give you the procedure how to make it:

How to make a fleece tie baby blanket?

1 Go to the fabric store like the JoAnne's Fabric, and chose the two rolls of the fleece fabric that you would like for the blanket. I prefer a pattern and the solid. (One blanket uses two pieces of the fleece fabric; you could use same pattern on the both sides of the blanket.

2 Have an attendant cut to your fabrics equally so that you don't have to re-cut it later. I chose to have the each piece of fleece cut to one yard in above blankets. If you want the larger blanket or smaller blanket than cut accordingly. I thought the one yard size was perfect one.

3 Choose the side to begin and fold the two fabrics up about a inch and the half and use four or five pieces of the tape to secure it along this side.

Continue the process for the remaining three sides. Corners can be a bit tricky.

Hope by the end of this you can make a very good and attractive tie fleece blanket.
