Toddler Tantrums

Baby sitting is the worst choice of making money, when you don’t have kids of your own, and don’t know squat about handling them either. I am babysitting my nephew this week, I do not know for how long. I would really like you to help me as soon as you can. I want to know how to handle toddler tantrums. He could seriously through such a tantrum that would make me want to rip the hair out of my head. I want to know what I could possibly do just keep him happy and occupied all the time. He sleeps around 8 in the night, and wakes up at 10 in the morning. He is a sound sleeper. He takes a nap in the afternoons at 3 – 4. What could I do in between to keep him busy? He likes going to the park, but he doesn’t get along with too many children so I don’t know if he would play with any of them. Just help me please!

Toddler’s tantrums can be horrible and sometimes difficult to manage by the parents. If you are a babysitting for your nephew make sure to ask the parents about tantrums, prior to taking the job. If your nephew is in habit of making tantrums than ask the parents what make him trigger their tantrum and how can they control the kid when he is making tantrums. Try to observe the kid’s routine, kid’s behavior, try to observe his mood and babysitter should also observe that what makes the baby to develop a tantrum and what avoidance techniques can be helpful for the baby to keep him in control. Make sure to not follow bribe technique to pamper the toddler and prevent him from making tantrums because toddlers do not learn positive behavior from bribery. Try to make him relax and keep him involve in different activities as much as you can. Yeah, taking him to a nearby park is a good idea, even if he doesn’t like to get along with too many children.
