Ultrasound At 6 Weeks

I'll be undergoing an ultrasound after two days. According to my doctor I will be 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant by then as per her measurements. Last time when I had undergone an ultrasound was at my 4th week, but in that scan I was not able to see anything substantial. I want to know if I will be able to see any thing like heartbeats or yolk sac in this ultrasound. Those who have undergone Ultrasound at 6 Weeks, please share your experiences with me. I'm very excited about this ultrasound scan. Thanks in advance.

It is really a good experience to see your baby. I was so exited but unfortunately at this stage you will only able to see 2 meshes that&rsquo;s all. Your baby is about the size of a lentil this week. If you could see inside yourself, you'd find she has an oversized head in proportion to her body. Your baby&rsquo;s facial features are forming, with dark spots where the eyes are, openings where the nostrils will be, and pits to mark the ears.</span></span><span class="apple-converted-space"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black; border: none windowtext 1.0pt; mso-border-alt: none windowtext 0in; padding: 0in; background: white;"><span style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-style: inherit;"><span style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-style: inherit; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">&nbsp;</span></span></span></span><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black; border: none windowtext 1.0pt; mso-border-alt: none windowtext 0in; padding: 0in; background: white;"><span style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-style: inherit;"><span style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-style: inherit; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">Protruding buds that will become her arms and legs are even more noticeable now. You can't hear it yet, but her heart (which has divided into the right and left chambers) is beating at about 150 beats a minute, twice the rate of yours.</span></span></span></span><span class="apple-converted-space"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black; border: none windowtext 1.0pt; mso-border-alt: none windowtext 0in; padding: 0in; background: white;"><span style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-style: inherit;"><span style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-style: inherit; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">&nbsp;</span></span></span></span><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-size: 8.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black; border: none windowtext 1.0pt; mso-border-alt: none windowtext 0in; padding: 0in; background: white;"><span style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-style: inherit;"><span style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-style: inherit; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">Transabdominal ultrasound cannot reliably diagnose pregnancies that are less than 6 weeks gestation.</span></span><span style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-style: inherit;"><span style="border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-style: inherit; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"> your sonographer takes measurements they will explain what you are looking at.
