How much time does a baby take to walk?

My child is 10 months older and still moving on his knees. I have learnt that babies should start walking by this age but a few people also said otherwise. I do not exactly know that when do babies start walking. There are lots of parents over here who can help me out collecting information regarding it and make my worry go off from head.

Everyone starts to walk at different age, my mom told me that I started to walk in 10th month, my son started between 12 and 13 months. It sounds like your baby is already on the way to walking, don't worry it won't be long time to see him/her on legs. My second baby walked at 13 months. My third child walked at 10 months, which is really an early age.

The average age is anywhere between 10 months to 15 months. I would not worry about what the friends say, your baby is right on track and it may happen any day. Just encourage your baby.

Some of my friends say that their babies started walking when they were seven or eight months. But what if your child is well over a year old and they have not even attempted to start taking a step, then according to many pediatricians, it does not mean that you baby is experiencing any type of developmental delays, most pediatricians will tell that many babies will start walking at about fifteen months.

When your baby starts walking is usually related to own genetics and if you started walking at thirteen or fourteen months than your babies are likely to follow the same pattern. Take care!
