What is the worst your parents have done, that has scarred you?

Has there ever been such an issue with your parents that could have scarred you for life. I just moved into a new neighborhood and I came across this family where the daughter was terrified of her mother. She did not really tell me why, she has two kids of her own and she does not plan on ever making them meet their maternal grandmother. What could have happened, and what has your family ever done to you that has mentally or physically tortured you? Feel free to mention the worst your parents have done to you.

I guess it is the situation which hampers relationships. The situation can actually create an environment which is detrimental and can actually cast an adverse influence over your relationships. I am a father and also had some problems with my son.

And now I know that I was wrong. I used to hit him with foot ruler because I used to get pissed when I got sloshed…. I don’t know it was because I didn’t think much when I got drunk and that was the reason. But now I attend AA meetings and they really did well to me.

I guess this is it and this was my experience of which I am ashamed to the max.
